Ms Ouyang Leilei


Ouyang Leilei,a member in the Musicians Society of Singapore, started to receive systematic rigorous and formal music training at a very young age and was listed in the "Dictionary of Brilliant Chinese Children" as a child. She graduated with distinction from the Xing Hai Conservatory of Music, obtaining B.A. degree in 2000 and successfully held her solo concert.

Leilei furthered her study at the Leeds College of Music and obtained with distinction M.A. degree in piano performance in 2010. During her study at Leeds College, she was under the tutelage of Julian Cima and Marion Rapper. She held several solo concerts successfully at Leeds, Wakefield and Harrogate, UK. She also collaborated with Leeds College of Music Sinfonietta to perform Beethoven's piano concerto. Her performance won critical acclaim with comments like: "...Very sophisticated and musical playing underpinned with a very good technical assuredness and facility", "Beautiful musical and communicative playing with an ability to hold the audience with the special magic of timing and personal musical expression...This showed mature insight and a naturalness of response in dialogue", "...This was a fine and professional performance of a major work with outstanding qualities in presentation and musicality..."

Leilei has often been invited to present solo recital and/or being accompanist for large scale concerts in China, U.K., Malaysia and Singapore. Currently, she is the accompanist for Southern Arts of Society and New Horizon Music Society.
